Open Sessions at Decoy BMX Track

We have regular, weekly open sessions where the track is open for you to just turn up and ride. Riding at an open session currently costs £5 for non-members and £3 for members.

Everyone is welcome, whatever age or experience, and you can hire a bike, helmet and gloves. There is parking next to the track and we have a selection of hot food, snacks and drinks available to purchase in the cabin.

When we’re open, Turn up and Ride!

Open sessions normally take place on Sunday mornings from 10am to 1pm and on Wednesday evenings from 6pm to 8pm . We also sometimes add some extra sessions during the holidays.

There are a few simple track rules to follow, and if you don’t have a suitable bike, full-face helmet or gloves yet, they can be hired for a nominal charge.

BMX is an outdoor sport, so consideration of the track surface and safety sometimes mean that we may need to cancel at short notice due to the weather. We are also dependent on the kindness of volunteers to open up.

Before you travel, please always check our latest news or our Facebook group to confirm that the session is going ahead – and look out for extra sessions posted there too.

Dinky Decoy

Dinky Decoy is a coffee morning with a twist – a session for all pre-school aged children, whether they’re just starting on a balance bike or have never ridden before.

This session is aimed at parents and grandparents, or even childminders, who want to meet like minded families and chat over coffee whilst the kids pedal round.

Sessions take place every other Monday. Please head to our Facebook group for specific opening dates and times.

Please note that the track is not suitable for stabilisers or stunt pegs.
